The Light of Images of Segorbe has had 14,583 visits in the first month of the year, a figure which sets the overall attendance of the exhibition at 65,979 since the exhibition was opened last 26th September 2001. These figures are complemented with the 16,944 reservations made to see the exhibition between February and April.

Furthermore, The Light of Images has continued with the promotion of the Segorbe exhibition with two tourist promotion events. The Light of Images took part at FITUR with a stand which around 5,000 people have seen, interested in the contents of the exhibition and asking about the date when it is due to close. Apart from this over 500 schoolchildren from different schools in Alcoy enjoyed the reproduction of the educational workshop that The Light of Images exhibited at the Tourism Exhibition of Alcoy, which had 2,000 visits in a week.

The educational workshop is an attractive complement to the exhibition. Between October and January, 8,000 students from schools and institutes all over the Valencian Community have gone through the premises of the educational workshop to complement their training by participating in the architecture, painting and story-telling activities.

With its presence at FITUR the Valencian Community Light of Images Foundation starts the work of publicising the next edition of the project for recovery and restoration of the Valencian Community's historical artistic heritage. The exhibition, intended for early 2003, will be held in Orihuela and focus on the heritage of Alicante diocese. The exhibition will involve several buildings of the diocese city. The work for restoration of the church of Santiago, the convent of Santo Domingo, the church of Santa Justa y Santa Rufina, El Salvador Cathedral and the Bishops' Palace has already started.
