Tomorrow Wednesday 16th January the undersecretary of Valencia's
Ministry for Culture and Education, Carmina Nácher,
will present the "Tourism Exhibition" to be held
in the Llotja de Sant Jordi in Alcoy until next 23rd January.
The Light of Images of Segorbe is participating in this event,
which will foster an exchange of the tourist possibilities
available between two inland counties, L'Alcoià and
Alto Palancia. The exhibition of sacred art has transferred
to the Llotja de Sant Jordi a reproduction of the educational
workshop at which the schoolchildren from the county will
have the opportunity to learn and understand about art through
puzzles, altarpieces and cut-outs.
The Light of Images is also offering craftsman-made products
prepared in Alto Palancia county. Foodstuffs, ceramics, leather
goods, cosmetics and woodwork are some of the specialities
of the area. The tourist interest of the exhibition is rounded
off with a monumental artistic guide of Alto Palancia, which
covers the main vestiges of the artistic patrimony of the
zone on a route which stresses the tourist appeal of each
of the towns and villages in the county.
Furthermore, Alcoy is exhibiting the material with which it
is taking part in the different tourist events. Interactive
panels focussing on the tourist attractions of the city, such
as the Twelfth Night cavalcade, the Tirisiti Nativity scene,
the Moors and Christians festival, modernism, archaeology,
industrial heritage, the bridges, cuisine or the nature reserves.
The undersecretary of Valencia's Ministry for Culture and
Education, Carmina Nácher, will present the "Tourism
Exhibition" tomorrow Wednesday 16th January at 12:00
hours at Alcoy Council House (Plaça d'Espanya, 1).
Carmina Nácher will open the exhibition at 19:00 hours,
at the Llotja de Sant Jordi.
