Music
is one of the mainstays of Segorbe's "Light of Images".
Segorbe cathedral, from the 16th to well into the 19th centuries,
had its own maestros, its choirs and others who propitiated the
creation of musical works reflecting their respective times.
This
starts with Gregorian chant and its derivatives and goes on with
16th century music for the first phases of the exhibition, then
continuing with Post-Tridentine music for the Church of the Augustinian
order, and ending with works from the 18th and 19th centuries back
at the cathedral, in the culminating stage of The Light of Images.
